We have visited the Barrier Reef and the Maldives. We also saw the white tip reef sharks in the barrier reef way beneath us. There are sharks in the Maldives, but we only saw very small ones, usually at night when they have the feeding demonstrations. We were told because of the plentiful tasty fish there, sharks aren't interested in us. Good luck, Mary.
